Position Title: TRAINEE DIRECTORS
Training Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Duty Station: Somalia

ORGANISATION BACKGROUND

TAYITO is every African youth’s organization and solution, to poverty, job creation and skills development that has been founded based upon the United Nations Millennium development goals. It was registered in South Africa in 2006 as a section 21 (not for gain) company, which will use every TECHNOLOGY available in every community, to achieve the UN MDG’S. The youth of Africa will globally unite and run the global race with a common goal; TO ACHIEVE THE UN MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS FROM NOTHING TO SOMETHING, FROM ZERO TO HERO AND FROM POVERTY TO PROSPERITY.

PURPOSE OF THE TAYITO GLOBAL YOUTH MILLENNIUM MARATHON

The aim and purpose or its main goal is to engage and ensure youth’s accelerated and full participation towards understanding, implementing and achieving the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by 2015 and beyond, also being able to compete positively in the TAYITO GLOBAL YOUTH MILLENNIUM MARATHON 2011-2015 and being able to present evidence of their achievements report to the UNITED NATION SUMMIT in 2015 within the specified timeframes. The TAYITO GLOBAL YOUTH MARATHON is the only global youth project and I quote the UN SECRETARY GENERAL’S COMMENTS “Let us make this investment in a better future for all. There is no global project more worthwhile”. This is the only global project, the solution which will enable the youth to achieve the MDG’S by 2015.

PILOT PROJECT FOR THE MARATHON:
TAYITO SOMALI is hosting the pilot project for the TAYITO GLOBAL YOUTH MILLENNIUM MARATHON with the following countries with the theme;
“PAIN FOR ONE IS PAIN FOR ALL; INJURY FOR ONE IS INJURY FOR ALL AND WOUND FOR ONE IS WOUND FOR ALL, “LET LOVE LEAD” TO REBUILD SOMALI WITH:
TAYITO CONGO, TAYITO IVORY COAST, TAYITO KENYA, TAYITO LIBERIA, TAYITO LIBYA, TAYITO MALAWI, TAYITO TUNISIA, TAYITO SOMALIA, TAYITO SOUTH AFRICA AND TAYITO ZIMBABWE.

TAYITO Would like to see the young trainee director's return to their countries and contribute to the development, reconstruction of their home country (Somalia).

Desirable Qualification (Education, Experience and competence)
In order to be eligible, a candidate must have:
 Refugee status; or valid document
 Secondary certificate, (Diploma and degree is an added advantage)
 Good command of English language is must
 Not be older than 35 years
 Previous work experience with an NGOs would be strong advantage
 Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal relationship skills
 Hardworking, good team player, and dedicated candidate
 Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimum supervision
 Ready and willing to travel to Somalia after training
